Flamenco classes are available for beginner children/ adults right through to the company level where Open Classes are available twice a week.
Classes include unseen work and the training offered by the Alianza Flamenca Syllabus. Alianza Flamenca is a non-profit association, devised to establish and develop and a broader understanding of the art of flamenco, particularly flamenco dancing. In order to do this, a flamenco dance syllabus has been formulated based on the technique and traditions of flamenco, while embracing current trends in Spain.
There are seven courses in ascending order of proficiency plus two courses for beginners. There is also a teaching assessment for those wishing to teach the syllabus. Assessments are offered at the end of each course and a diploma awarded on a successful completion.
Juana is an assessor for Alianza Flamenca and is also a member of the Syllabus Co-0rdination Committee for Alianza Flamenca. This committee is responsible for keeping the syllabus updated with the technique and training offered in Spain.
