Sol Luca De Tena

Sol was born in Seville, Andalusia.
She moved to South Africa and started her dancing career in Cape Town in 1995.
She has completed many sabbatical trips to Spain to further her Famenco studies studying with the great Farruquito, Miguel Vargas, Rosana Maya and Vicky.
She has studied and performed with the Wilvan Dance Academy (1998 – 2001).
Sol also performed with the Fernando Raya Torres Dance Company (2005 – 2007) in various cabarets at Obs Café, Cape to Cuba and the show, Pasión Gitanas.
She joined Juana Vargas in 2007 and became part of Flamenco del Sur.
In 2008, she completed a week course with Carmela Greco from Spain.

Carmela Cortes

Carmela started Flamenco at the age of 14 with the Wilvan school, performing in a show at the Little Theatre with their company.
After school, she furthered her studies in dance and theatre for a year.
She studied Flamenco with La Rosa as well as several flamenco dance teachers in London.
She joined Juana Vargas in 2007 and became part of Flamenco del Sur Spanish Company.
In 2008, she completed a week course with Carmela Greco from Spain.
